About Us

The focus of my facility is to produce, with the greenest methods possible, high quality prosthetic devices custom made to the precise needs of my clients.

I received my Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. I graduated from George Brown College’s program for Clinical Methods of Prosthetics and Orthotics in 1997.

I spent almost 10 years at the Sunnybrook Centre for Independent Living, before opening my own facility located in Palgrave, ON, central to Orangeville, Bolton, Brampton, and Newmarket.

During  my time at Sunnybrook, I had extensive experience fitting clients with all levels of amputation from Bilateral Shoulder Disarticulation, to partial hand to hip disarticulation and partial foot and all levels in between. For clients with upper extremity amputations, I have extensive experience in myoelectric and body powered devices. For clients with lower extremity amputations, I also have experience with microprocessor controlled knees and elevated vacuum sockets.

I have worked with a wide range of individuals in age from 6 months to 95 years old. We will work together to get the most suitable device for you as soon as possible, regardless of your age!

I provide flexible appointment times and do house calls in specific circumstances, our facility is wheelchair accessible and has private parking for clients.

If you want to test out your device in different environments, Freedom Prosthetics is conveniently located on a great network of hiking and mountain biking trails. There is even a small pond nearby. You can try out your new purpose-built device on terrains close to the facility and adjustments can be made while you try it out.
